Borderline and Beyond

Bit by Bit

I love journalling — it helps me get my thoughts together, process the chaos, and make sense of what’s going on in my head. So I decided to start a blog. So many good things have started happening in my life (finally!), and I wanted to record them. Maybe someone else might read this one day and realise things can get better.

But me being me, I didn’t just want a blog — no, I set myself the mammoth task of building a whole website.
How hard can it be, right?

Turns out… very hard.

I’ve had so many false starts. Deleted everything. Started again. Thought I’d cracked it, only for the whole thing to fall flat on its arse. But I’ve kept plodding on. Today I finally got my header and footer sorted and honestly? It feels like a tiny miracle.

Bit by bit, trial and error, and a lot of help from ChatGPT — it’s coming together.
ChatGPT has been a God send… but we’ve had a few rocky moments. We’re friends again now though!

A bit like my life, really. It’s nowhere near perfect, but it’s mine. I’m sure there’ll be more frustrations, but I’ll keep going. I always do.

At one point, I had about 32 tabs open (a bit like my brain), a homepage that looked like a patchwork quilt, and the laptop very nearly went out the window. Then suddenly… something clicked. My header and footer showed up, and I realised — I’m actually doing this.
And again, like life, I’m creating something real.

So here it is. My first post. Not perfect — just real.

Stick around if you’re into lived experience, rebuilding from scratch, and figuring it out in your own time. Leave me a comment and say Hi!

Because that’s what Borderline and Beyond is about.
